Yu&I Duo

YuEun Kim, Violin and Ines Thomé, Classical Guitar

Winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions YuEun Kim and Ines Thomé met in 2013 when they both had just moved to the US, YuEun from Korea and Ines from Germany, serendipitously finding themselves as housemates in an old Victorian building in Los Angeles. Both studying at USC’s Thornton School of Music, they immediately connected through their love of chamber music and good Korean food.

Since then, they have been sharing numerous stages in Southern California and exciting their audiences with their charisma and virtuosity. Both musicians are winners of multiple solo competitions for their instruments and experienced chamber musicians who have performed around the world. Their programs range from early music performed on period instruments to original popular music arrangements performed on the highest level of artistry.

Concerts with the Yu&I duo are energizing and relaxing, they are traditional and break boundaries.

Delirium Musicum

Delirium: wild excitement or ecstasy

Delirium Musicum is an award-winning conductorless chamber orchestra dedicated to providing impassioned and engaging musical performances. Influenced by the bustling artistic mosaic of LA, the group applies dazzling creativity and limitless excitement to their performances.

Delirium Musicum represents the artistic excellence and leadership of the young generation of musicians in Los Angeles. The small size of this ensemble allows the musicians to bond and connect intimately with the audience. The group’s performances are dedicated to inspiring wild excitement and ecstasy by engaging audiences with unapologetic and fresh approaches to wide-ranging musical repertoire. Creative interpretation of the old masters, as well as collaboration with contemporary composers, generates new and exciting musical programs that speak to modern audiences.

Kim Chang Duo

Founded in 2016, Kim/Chang Duo was awarded second prize at the Boulder International Chamber Competition: Art of Duo in 2018.

They have performed in various venues in Los Angeles area, including ‘The Beethoven Complete sonatas project’ at USC and ‘L’Ermitage Foundation’ concert. They recently had a concert at Los Angeles County Museum of Art for ‘Sundays Live’ series which was live streamed on KUSC. They will be returning to Boulder in 2019 for a tour with an exciting program.

Kim/Chang Duo has been working with violinist, Midori Goto and pianist, Jeffrey Kahane.
